The SCC was pleased to contribute to this yearโs YAS Arbitration Day. Madeleine Thรถrn, Deputy Secretary General of the SCC, joined a panel to discuss the role of AI and the pursuit of efficiency in arbitration.
Although the soap box debate involved ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ด๐ป๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ for the panelists, the SCCโs position is as follows:
โข Arbitrators are encouraged to disclose their use of AI (please view the SCC's AI policy on our website).
โข Arbitrators have access to a wide range of tools to support both efficiency and fairness in proceedings. The SCC Rules provide a comprehensive set of case-management tools to assist arbitrators in conducting proceedings effectively. Discover the full provisions here: https://lnkd.in/eWG_KSmj
We thank our fellow panellists Emil Andersson, Linda Heikkilรค and Malcolm Robach and to moderators Patricia Shaughnessy and Victoria Malmkvist for guiding the discussion with such insight.
๐ Our appreciation goes to Youโฆ
