🎤 Post M&A Disputes Take Centre Stage: A 2024 Snapshot of the SCC Arbitration Institute‘s Caseload 🗂️ As business transactions become more global and complex, post M&A disputes have increasingly highlighted the significance of careful negotiation and robust dispute resolution mechanisms. 📈 In 2024 alone, the SCC registered nearly 60 post M&A disputes accounting for a total of over EUR 5 billion in dispute. 🌍 While domestic acquisitions still feature prominently, we also see a steady growth in cross-border disputes and an expanding use of English as the language of proceedings at the M&A disputes administered by the SCC. ⏳ For years, the SCC has emphasized the importance of a streamlined arbitration process, with the SCC adopting measures that ensure greater procedural efficiency and reduce overall timeframes for dispute resolution.
