The SCC Arbitration Institute has submitted its consultation responses to BKK’s proposed updates to the standard agreements in the Swedish construction industry – AB 25 and ABPU 25. These updates aim to modernize contracts, enhance efficiency, and improve dispute resolution processes. In our response, we emphasize the importance of a structured and cost-effective dispute resolution framework. We recommend replacing references to ad hoc arbitration with the SCC Rules, ensuring a more predictable, secure, and internationally aligned process. Key benefits include faster procedures, updated rules, and access to experienced arbitrators within the construction sector.
