The SCC Arbitration Rules – Now in Uzbek! This week, Secretary General Caroline Falconer had the pleasure of visiting #Tashkent, #Uzbekistan to launch the Uzbek translation of the SCC Arbitration Rules—another step in making our services even more accessible. During the visit, she met with representatives from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, among many, to discuss the growing need for neutral, effective, and reliable dispute resolution in international trade. Uzbekistan’s legal framework for arbitration has been evolving steadily since the adoption of the renewed act on international arbitration in 2021. With an economy clearly on the rise and international trade expanding, access to trusted dispute resolution mechanisms is more important than ever. The SCC registered its first case involving an Uzbek party in 2003, and since then, we have been a trusted partner for companies navigating cross-border disputes. Now, the SCC Arbitration Rules are available in the three languages most used in Uzbekistan: #Uzbek, #Russian, and #English. We look forward to further supporting businesses in the region. Thank you to all our partners in Uzbekistan for a warm welcome and valuable discussions: Prof. Dr. Islambek Rustambekov, Elijah Putilin FCIArb, Aigoul Kenjebayeva, Tashkent State University of Law, Bobur Shamsiev, Benjamin Wells FCIArb, Diora Ziyaeva, Tomas Danestad, and many more! #InternationalTrade #DisputeResolution #Uzbekistan #Arbitration
