The Court of Arbitration for Sport (“CAS”) is the final body for dispute resolution in international sports arbitration. However, CAS is a private body primarily governed by Swiss law (Article R45 of CAS Code). Its jurisdiction is based on arbitration clauses contained in contracts between parties.
