𝗔𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗖𝗖 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗕𝗔𝗿'𝘀 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀   The Brazilian Arbitration Committee (Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem - CBAr) held its International Arbitration Congress in Rio de Janeiro from 30 August to 1 September and celebrated its 25th anniversary.   SCC Board Vice-Chair, Crina Baltag, represented the SCC at this event, joining a roundtable on the powers of arbitral institutions alongside representatives of the ICC, SIAC and AMCHAM.   The panel explored "Arbitration and Power", bringing our institutional perspective into dialogue with leading arbitral institutions from around the world on arbitrator appointment and challenge, as well as on the prima facie powers of arbitration institutions.   A fitting tribute to CBAr's quarter-century of contribution to arbitration in Brazil and beyond.
