Our latest released report on arbitrator appointments in SCC cases 2020โ€“2024 gives us reason to mark a milestone, and to keep pushing. During the period covered by the report, 51 per cent of SCC appointed arbitrators were women. That is up from 30 per cent in the previous period (2015โ€“2019), and it means the SCC has achieved gender parity in its own appointments. Across all appointments by the SCC, the parties, and co-arbitrators combined, the share of women rose from 20 per cent to approximately 33 per cent. A relative increase of approximately 70 per cent over a decade. Real progress. Backed by data. In the clip, SCC Specialist Counsel Jake Lowther, who also authored the report, walks through the numbers. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/d4FGB5GF
