Signed during a dedicated joint webinar a few weeks ago, this agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening international arbitration between the EU and India, two regions whose commercial ties continue to grow across sectors including technology, manufacturing, life sciences and sustainability.
The SCCโICA Cooperation Agreement was first entered into in 1987. The cooperation builds on a shared conviction: that arbitration, as an independent, impartial, and efficient mechanism for resolving commercial disputes, is an enabler of cross-border trade and economic growth.
Through this partnership, the two institutions will work together across a range of areas, including:
โข Exchange of knowledge and expertise.
โข Joint capacity-building initiatives.
โข Promoting arbitration as the preferred dispute resolution method for businesses operating between India, Sweden and beyond.
