Last Wednesday, we welcomed Swedish-speaking law students for an evening dedicated to one of the most important, yet often overlooked, areas of legal practice: international commercial dispute resolution.
We wanted to give the next generation of lawyers a genuine introduction to what this field looks like in practice, and what a career within it can offer.
The evening featured four experienced speakers who each brought a different perspective to the field:
โข Caroline Falconer, Secretary General of the SCC, gave an overview of what arbitration is and the history of the SCC.
โข Kristoffer Lรถf at Mannheimer Swartling gave his perspective on the Swedish significance for international commercial disputes.
โข Shirin Saif at Roschier and member of the SCC Board spoke on what it means to work in commercial dispute resolution at a law firm and the role a juniorโฆ
