My role centres on communication with parties and arbitrators, supporting both the practical and procedural aspects of the arbitration process. Day-to-day, this includes managing payments, monitoring deadlines, and preparing cases for the SCC Board's monthly meetings.
Drawing on my law degree from Stockholm University, I also conduct initial reviews of incoming requests for arbitration and help draft some of our decisions for our legal counsel.

Arbitration is, of course, designed to be as efficient as possible, but what genuinely surprised me was how much adaptability the work demands in practice. Every new case brings its own procedural complexities and unexpected challenges, which means you are constantly learning.
