𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗖𝗖 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, Rikard Bruse 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗖𝗖 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲?  My role centres on communication with parties and arbitrators, supporting both the practical and procedural aspects of the arbitration process. Day-to-day, this includes managing payments, monitoring deadlines, and preparing cases for the SCC Board's monthly meetings. Drawing on my law degree from Stockholm University, I also conduct initial reviews of incoming requests for arbitration and help draft some of our decisions for our legal counsel.    𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗖𝗖?  Arbitration is, of course, designed to be as efficient as possible, but what genuinely surprised me was how much adaptability the work demands in practice. Every new case brings its own procedural complexities and unexpected challenges, which means you are constantly learning.
