The delegation, with primarily managing partners from law firms across China, joined us as part of a Nordic study trip organised by iCourt. It was a genuinely enriching exchange, one that brought together legal professionals with a shared interest in advancing international arbitration practice.
During the visit, SCC representatives Caroline Falconer and Yi Ting Sam had the opportunity to present and discuss a range of topics, with SCC Express, with which parties can resolve disputes in 3 weeks, drawing particular attention and interest.
Disputes involving Chinese parties have long been a significant part of the SCCโs caseload, as reflected in data from 2000โ2024:
โข 117 disputes involved Chinese parties
โข The average dispute value was โฌ39,125,353
โข Chinese parties appeared as claimants in 32 cases and as respondents in 83 cases
A sincere thank you to Counsel Yichun Yao for his work inโฆ
