Happy Semmeldag! 🥐   In Sweden, we take our buns seriously, especially today. Semmeldagen is our annual celebration of the semla: a cardamom-spiced bun filled with almond paste and whipped cream, traditionally enjoyed on Shrove Tuesday but, in modern times, enthusiastically consumed for weeks before and after.   It's a brilliant example of how food traditions evolve whilst keeping their cultural heart intact. What started as a once-a-year indulgence is now a beloved fixture from January through March in Swedish bakeries.   What food traditions from your culture do you think deserve wider recognition?
